Lincoln Community & Residents Association Inc.

Lincoln, shaped by the people who live here

We’re your neighbours. Volunteers who show up, speak up, and roll up our sleeves to keep our community connected, heard, and thriving.

Who we are

An independent voice for Lincoln residents

The Lincoln Community & Residents Association is a volunteer-run incorporated society that exists to make sure the people who live in Lincoln have a say in what happens here. We bring neighbours together, share what’s going on, and carry local concerns to the people who make decisions on our behalf.

We’re open to everyone. No matter how long you’ve lived here or how much time you can give, there’s a place for you.

Purpose

  • To promote the Community’s past and present.
  • In the future, creating an environment that is accessible to all.
  • To recruit and promote the interests of all residents living in the area.
  • To work alongside other agencies to achieve our aims.

Culture

  • To treat all residents as equal.
  • To listen to our residents and to respect their beliefs and opinions.
  • To have an open-door environment to allow access and participation to all.
  • Decision-making must always consider communication with our community.
A warm, authentic editorial photograph representing Lincoln, Canterbury, New Zealand: a broad rural landscape near Lincoln with green paddocks, a distinctive Canterbury foothills horizon, a few shelterbelt trees, and a subtle view toward the township. Natural daylight, welcoming community feel, realistic photography, no text, no logos, no identifiable people, suitable for a website section about how a local community helps its residents.
